DFV ALARM/EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM (DEPP)
BE READY!

1
HOW CAN I DONATE?
The goal of the DFV Emergency Preparedness Program (DEPP) is to work with MI Prevention and Sonic Alert to install emergency alarm systems for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Deaf+ communities, as well as those with additional disabilities, differences, need extra time to get to safety, or are difficult to wake. The HomeAware II pairs with a NOAA weather radio, and alerts in cases of carbon monoxide, fire, or severe weather. This system uses a combination of a strobe, a high-decibel alarm, scrolling text display, and a strong bed shaker, to ensure that alerts will never be missed. There's something for everyone to keep them safe.

We need donors and organizations to help us raise the funds for the equipment needed to help keep families with hard of hearing or deaf family members safe during emergencies. We are now reaching out to Washtenaw, Jackson and Lenawee Counties.

We also need people willing to pass out information or direct interested people to us so we can help them become part of this project.
